The Weather Channel is a company owned by NBC that airs “weather related shows”, live coverage of severe weather events most of the time, and is the home of Jim Cantore.

TOR:CON is TWC's way of ranking the potential for a tornado within 50 miles of a certain point on a numerical scale from 0 to 10. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL FORECAST. Use this with a grain of salt since it isn't an official forecast from the NWS. Instead, use the SPC's forecast scale.
Television
The Weather Channel has around for decades covering weather, and recently has become less 24/7 weather.

The website that is hosted by TWC. The home page articles are clickbait now for some reason.
Winter Storm Naming
For the sake of public safety in the words of TWC, they began naming winter storms a few years ago. Naming a storm system makes sense from a few views, but overall, it appears silly. Might as well name severe weather systems while they are at it.
