Convective Inhibition (CINH)
Convective inhibition, or CINH is the measure of the inhibition of energy in the atmosphere. If there is high CINH, then the chances of seeing development of severe weather is limited. Compared to CAPE, this is essentially “anti-CAPE” due to it being an inhibitor of energy.
